What is CodeRED? CodeRED is an emergency notification system that enables local and state agencies to alert residents and businesses via phone, SMS, email, mobile app, and social media. It keeps you informed about emergencies and important community updates in your area.
What kinds of alerts will I receive? Your local agency determines which alerts you receive. Common examples include:
Severe weather and natural disasters Evacuation notices Missing persons Police activity Road closures and traffic disruptions Utility outages and boil water advisories Other important local updates
How will I receive alerts? Alerts can be sent by SMS, voice call, email, push notifications through the CodeRED mobile app, and social media. The delivery options will depend on how your county/city has set up its CodeRED platform. You can choose your preferred contact methods when you sign up, and you can change your selection at any time.
How will I know the alert is from CodeRED? If a custom number is not set up, the default Caller ID for CodeRED is 1-206-536-3695. We recommend saving this number in your phone under “CodeRED.” You can also redial that number to replay the message in full or you can check your voicemail if you missed the call. Text alerts will be sent from 38671 or 24639 (please note that these numbers may change due to technical or administrative reasons).
How do I sign up to start receiving alerts? There are two routes to start receiving alerts. You can do either or both:
Account Portal - Online Registration: https://accountportal.onsolve.net/glocesterri Visit your city or county's website to find the sign-up link for your area. Fill out the form with your address, name, phone number(s), and email to sign up quickly and easily. Your information is registered immediately. If you don’t have internet access, consider visiting a library or asking a friend or family member for help.

Download the CodeRED app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and register on the app to activate your account. The app isn’t tied to a specific city or county, but it delivers alerts based on your mobile location. Therefore, ensure you enable location sharing. The benefit of the app is that if you happen to be in an area where a CodeRED alert is sent, you will receive the alert notification on your phone even if you aren’t registered for that specific community (which would be via the unique weblink for that community’s Account Portal).
Is there a cost to sign up? No, CodeRED is free for residents and businesses in participating areas.
Is my personal information secure? Yes, your information is secure. CodeRED uses strict security protocols and does not share your data with third parties.
Is there a mobile app? Yes. The CodeRED mobile app lets you receive alerts wherever you are, even while traveling. You can also view active alerts in your current location. If your community uses CodeRED, download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
I have moved. How do I change my address? You can change your address by logging in to your CodeRED account anytime to update your contact information and preferences, so you stay connected and informed.
